What's Included

What makes the trailer different

One dog at a time

No other dogs barking, no kennel time, no waiting for a turn. Your dog is the only appointment happening while we're parked.

Fully self-contained

We bring our own water, hot water heater, and power. All we need is a spot to park — no hose, no outlet, no bathroom trips inside.

Start-to-finish care

The same person who greets your dog bathes, dries, and finishes them. Nothing gets handed off midway to someone your dog hasn't met.

Kinder to seniors

No car ride, no stairs, no standing around. For arthritic and anxious dogs, mobile isn't a luxury — it's the difference between getting groomed and not.

Roughly 60–90 minutes

A full groom takes about an hour and a half door to door instead of a four-hour salon day. You keep working; we knock and hand back a clean dog.

No travel fee

Anywhere in our twelve-town service area, the price on the menu is the price. No mileage surcharge for being down a dirt road in Arundel.

Good To Know

How mobile compares to a salon

A traditional salon groom means a car ride, a drop-off, several hours in a kennel between the bath and the finish, and a second car ride. For a confident dog, that's fine. For an anxious dog, a senior, a puppy, or a dog who doesn't love other dogs, most of the stress in that day has nothing to do with the grooming.

The trailer removes all of it. We park, your dog steps in, and every stage happens back to back with the same hands. There's no crate, no dryer cage, and no unfamiliar building. The whole appointment is usually done in the time you'd spend just driving to and from a salon.

The trade-off is honest: mobile costs a bit more than the cheapest salon in the area, and we can only fit a handful of dogs into a day, so the calendar books out. If price is your only criterion, a salon will beat us. If your dog's day matters as much as their haircut, this is the better setup.

We serve twelve towns along the southern Maine coast and drive between them all week — we're usually in your town at least twice a week.

  • No car ride, no kennel, no waiting room
  • Same groomer start to finish, every time
  • 60–90 minutes instead of a four-hour salon day
  • Self-contained: we need a parking spot and nothing else

Our Process

How a mobile appointment works

Same order, every appointment, in the trailer in your driveway. Typical visit: About 60–90 minutes, one dog at a time.

  1. Book online

Pick your service, your town, and a date in the booking form. You'll get a confirmation email and a text the day before with an arrival window.

  2. We park

Driveway, street, or shared lot — anywhere with roughly a car-and-a-half of space. No hookups needed; the trailer carries its own water and power.

  3. Hand-off and consult

Two minutes at the door about the length you want, any sore spots, mats, or skin issues, and how your dog handles the dryer.

  4. Bath, dry, groom

Warm hydro-bath with the shampoo suited to the coat, gentle dry, full brush-out, then the haircut, nails, ears, and hygiene work — all in one continuous session.

  5. Finishing touches

Teeth, add-on treatments if you booked them, a light sea-salt spritz, and a bandana that your dog will lose within the week.

  6. Knock and report

We bring your dog back to the door with a rundown of the coat, the skin, anything to watch, and when we'd like to see them next.

From The Driveway

What neighbors say.

"We tried three salons before this. The difference is our dog doesn't shake in the car anymore, because there is no car."
Sarah D. · Cape Porpoise, ME
"We're at the end of a long dirt road and figured we'd get charged extra or turned down. Neither. Trailer showed up right on time."
Peter G. · Arundel, ME
"Ninety minutes, start to finish, and I never left my desk. Our girl came back smelling like the ocean and slept for four hours."
Michelle K. · Kennebunkport, ME

FAQ

Questions we get asked.

How much does mobile dog grooming cost in southern Maine?
Full grooms start at $85 and bath & brush starts at $55, with the final price depending on size, coat, and condition. There's no travel fee anywhere in our twelve-town service area.
Do you need to use my water or electricity?
No. The trailer carries its own fresh water, hot water heater, and power. All we need is a safe place to park.
Where do you park?
Your driveway is ideal. Street parking or a condo lot works fine too — we need about a car and a half of space and enough room to open the side door.
How long does a mobile groom take?
Usually 60 to 90 minutes for a full groom, less for a bath & brush or a nail trim. Because there's no kennel time, it's dramatically shorter than a salon appointment.
Do I need to be home during the appointment?
You need to be there for hand-off and pickup, but you don't have to stand outside. Most clients hand the dog over and go back to work or to the kitchen.
Is mobile grooming better for anxious dogs?
For most anxious dogs, yes. Removing the car ride, the strange building, the other dogs, and the crate time removes most of what they were actually reacting to. It's also the best option for seniors who struggle with car rides and stairs.
Which towns do you serve?
Kennebunkport, Kennebunk, Cape Porpoise, Goose Rocks Beach, Arundel, Biddeford, Saco, Old Orchard Beach, Scarborough, Wells, Ogunquit, and York — all of coastal York County and southern Cumberland.
