About K-Pup

Grooming, done the coastal way.

Welcome to K-Pup Dog Grooming — a mobile grooming trailer where pet care meets patience, expertise, and a lot of love for the Maine coast.

We're a small, family-run team dedicated to giving every dog on the southern Maine coast a calm, one-on-one spa day. With years of grooming experience and a genuine love for animals, we set out to build a grooming experience that's as stress-free for your pup as it is convenient for you.

Our Story

K-Pup started with a long-haired mini dachshund named Biscuit. Biscuit hated grooming shops — the barking, the cages, the waiting. After one too many stressful drop-offs, our founder Katie Piper (the original "K" of K-Pup) decided there had to be a better way.

In the spring of 2023, Katie tracked down a vintage teardrop trailer, spent a Maine winter rebuilding it into a full grooming rig, and rolled it into her first Kennebunkport driveway that summer. Word spread quickly at Goose Rocks Beach and Cape Porpoise, and by the end of the season K-Pup had a waitlist and a lot of very happy tails.

Today, K-Pup is a trusted mobile grooming service known for its personalized approach and gentle, hands-on care. We proudly serve pups of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments — from a wiggly Lab after a beach walk to a nervous rescue on her very first groom.

Our Philosophy

Grooming is about more than appearances — it's an essential part of your dog's health and well-being. From a tangle-free coat to properly trimmed nails, every service we offer is designed to make your pup feel better, not just look better.

We keep things slow, quiet, and one-on-one. No cages. No other barking dogs. Just your pup, our groomer, and a trailer that smells faintly of blueberry shampoo and sea air.

Meet the Team

Our groomers are certified, insured, and genuinely obsessed with dogs. We continue our education year-round so every K-Pup client gets the same steady hands and gentle heart — whether it's Biscuit's monthly tidy-up or a first-time puppy visit.
