The Short, Dense Coat
Short and coarse over a huge frame, shedding moderately but constantly given the sheer surface area involved. A rubber curry and a proper bath do more for a Mastiff's coat than any amount of dry brushing.
Facial Wrinkles & Jowls
The folds around the muzzle and forehead trap drool, food and moisture and can turn into skin infections fast if ignored. Every visit includes a full wipe-down and dry of every crease, not just the visible ones.

Our Process
How we groom a Mastiff.
Every mastiff appointment follows the same order, start to finish, in the trailer in your driveway. Typical appointment time: about 2 hr, one dog at a time.
Ramp-in and joint check
The low, wide trailer ramp lets a Mastiff walk straight in at ground level, followed by a gentle check over the hips, elbows and carpal joints before anything else begins.
Curry brush-out
A rubber curry across the whole body loosens dead coat over a huge surface area and gets a sense of any skin issues hiding under the folds.
Full-body bath
A large-capacity bath with a gentle cleansing shampoo, worked carefully around every wrinkle and joint on a dog this size.
Wrinkle-by-wrinkle drying
Every facial fold, neck crease and paw is cleaned and completely dried individually — the single most important step for a Mastiff's skin health.
Nails at a giant-breed pace
